All-Day Unit Participation Challenge

The top ten units with the highest number of online gifts (from April 9, starting at 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m.) will win bonus dollars for their fund! Based on a percentage of the number of gifts made, the top ten units will win a portion of $55,000!

 

Hourly Gift Challenges

From 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. on April 9, 2024, the number of gifts to each unit will be tallied. The first unit to receive 25 gifts (of any amount) wins.

The winning unit will receive a $3,000 bonus for their fund!
From 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. on April 9, 2024, the unit that receives the largest single gift in this hour will win!

From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on April 9, 2024, the unit that receives the highest number of gifts in this hour will win!

The winning unit will receive a $4,000 bonus for their fund!
From 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. on April 9, 2024, the athletics unit that receives the highest number of gifts in this hour will win!

Join President Padilla for a unique Presidential Power Hour where you can engage with him and Hilda. Those who match his generous gift of $2,500 or more will have the exclusive opportunity to join them for an intimate dinner at the President's home. Additionally, donors who contribute $1,000 will be invited to an on-campus gathering with the president and Hilda. This event provides a chance to connect with fellow donors and make a meaningful impact within our community. Give now to support Valpo while reserving your spot.

The 5th original public post on X (Twitter) about Valpo Day will be selected as the winner! Note: The post must include #ProudToBeValpo AND a tagged unit (e.g., @ValpoMusic) OR unit hashtag (e.g., #ValpoMusic). The account must be set to public.

The Valparaiso University Facebook account will post at 9 a.m. asking alumni to comment with their favorite memory, photo, story, or what they love about Valpo. At 10 a.m. a randomizer will be used to select one comment as the winner. The team will reach out to the winner, provide a list of the units participating, and ask where they would like the funds to be directed.

The winning unit will receive a $3,000 bonus for their fund!
Each unit will receive a Valpo Day Selfie Frame. From 11 a.m. to 12 p.m., each unit will take and post as many unique photos to Instagram. (Each picture that includes a Dean or President Padilla will count as two!) The unit that posts the most photos during this hour wins!

At 1 p.m. the Valparaiso University Facebook account will post a video of students, staff and faculty sharing why they are #ProudToBeValpo. At 3 p.m. a randomizer will be used to select one comment as the winner.The team will reach out to the winner, provide a list of the units participating, and ask where they would like the funds to go.
